Who Are We?

We are one of more than 600 state and local chapters across the country united under the mission of advocating for services for citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide programs and support services to individuals and families of loved ones with disabilities.

Currently, the ALC is concentrating on two programs:

  1. Continuing Education: This program allows us to go into the adult day centers and teach their client from our structured learning modules to encourage their intellectual growth.

  2. Family Financial Management Planning: Our financial team of attorneys, a tax accountant, an insurance industry representative, financial planner coaches parents, guardians, and caregivers of the person with a disability in developing a financial plan for their loved one.
