Adam Thayer

​Adam Thayer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Police Administration and a Master’s in Criminal Justice. He served with distinction with the Charleston Police Department for 9 years. During this time he was honored with Officer of the Year, 2007, and two certificates of merit.  Adam left the police department and became a financial representative for Thrivent Financial. He has been with Thrivent since 2014. Working with Christians, churches, and charities to find solutions to financial questions, investments, and protections.

Adam is divorced and has a teenage daughter. He attends Grace Lutheran Church in Summerville, SC, and hosts an online bible study.  He has said that his life changed when he sat in the back of the church on Ash Wednesday after signs from God for him to attend. The service touched his heart and he started to work Thrivent shortly thereafter. He has been on dozens of mission trips to Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, working with Habitat for Humanity International and Sowers of the Kingdom.

Adam is on the boards of Arc of the Lowcountry (Disability Services), CrossRails Ministries (Horse Ministry for humans that have been abuse and mistreated), and Feeding of the Multitudes (Food for those in need in Huger, SC).
